I am exclusively recruiting a fixed term contract Senior Finance Officer opportunity for a business based in Lincoln. This is an immediate start, hands on and varied role.

Description
The key responsibilities of the Senior Finance Officer will be to report into the Director of Finance and provide transactional and accounting support to the Finance function. Duties of the Senior Finance Officer include but are not limited to:
- Provide accounting support to the Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Assist with banking and reconciliation duties such as preparing weekly payment file uploads and weekly BACS runs through the Students' Union's internet banking provider, ensuring correct approvals and documents are in place and that accounting systems are updated.
- To be responsible for the processing of weekly income and trading subsidiaries and reconciling to income received, reporting differences to the Head of Finance
- To assist with year end preparations and audit processes
- To support the Head of Finance in the production of financial statements including balance sheets, management profit and loss accounts and income and expenditure statements.
- Assist the Head of Finance in the training of staff as and when required, in accordance with the organisations Finance regulations, procedures and policies.
Profile
The successful candidate will:
- Be AAT qualified, and be undertaking their ACCA/CIMA (or have relevant experience)
- Have experience working in a busy finance function
- Have a good understanding of accounting principles
- Have knowledge of working in the Charitable sector
- Be proactive and have excellent attention to detail
- Have excellent interpersonal skills both written and verbal
- Be a team player
- Be available on short notice
Job Offer
