Job description

The Role:

Successful & timely administration and (where required) further development of PIB’s core Finance Systems.
Provide support and cover for the Senior Finance System Administrator

Responsibilities:

  • Become a system’s SME on at least one of PIB core Finance Systems (Oracle NetSuite, Onestream, Kyriba)
  • Maintain core Finance Systems’ data integrity by managing data imports, exports, and updates.
  • Ensure ongoing application support including user setups, user permissions, system controls & close process.
  • Collaborate with system stakeholders, line manager and other parties on system changes and improvements.
  • Help integrate core financial systems with other applications.
  • Help maintain seamless data flow and communication between the core Finance Systems.
  • Help develop, implement and maintain appropriate data policies and operating procedures.
  • Help coordinate and execute system upgrades and patches, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations.
  • Help develop any junior team members by sharing knowledge, experience and system knowhow.
  • Provide support and cover where required for the rest of the Finance Systems team.

Skills and Experience:

  • Maintain data entry templates & mapping rules, calculation/consolidation rules and reports/views/dashboards.
  • Analyse & reconcile large volumes of data.
  • Maintain system admin guides.
  • Mentor and develop junior members of the team.
  • Stakeholder management
  • Minimum of 3-5 years practical work experience in either a Finance System, super-user or admin role, of which 2 years should be continued admin and/or development of a single Finance System.
  • Bsc or Msc in Accounting & Finance (or equivalent course)
  • Knowledge of critical GL dimensions and objects (Entity, profit/cost centre, currency, coA, period, vendor, etc)
  • Knowledge of parent-to-child relationship and hierarchies
  • Critical accounting and finance concepts and principles (double-entry, accruals, cash entries, capitalisation, intercompany, etc)
  • Typical GL maintenance procedures including user assignment, security profiles, data input templates, user workflows and user reports.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • CIMA, ACCA, ACA qualified
  • Relevant Oracle NetSuite experience, including qualifications/certificates
  • Small to Large scale system dimensionality & processes
  • Good understanding of accounting & financial control processes
  • High level understanding of purpose of business & transformation rules
  • Excel VBA experience
  • Excel Modelling experience
