Salary We are looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join the Finance department of a Global Insurance Company based in the City on a 12 month contract. The main purpose of the role is to overseeing diverse technical accounting and control responsibilities associated with the monthly and quarterly financial procedures.You will collaborate extensively with diverse functions and stakeholders, such as actuarial, underwriting, ceded reinsurance, and IT, to ensure the smooth execution of the close process. Your responsibilities encompass generating and managing technical insurance journal entries for premiums, claims, and acquisition costs, both in the General Ledger and sub-systems. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining accounting reconciliations between source systems and the General Ledger, fostering expertise in intricate premium and claims accounting processes.To be considered for this role, you must have solid technical accounting experience gained within the Insurance industry and have good excel skills and database experience. You must also have a professional approach and delivery of work product, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the drive to achieve individual and team objectives.
