Circa £55,000, dependent on skills & experience,

Full time/37 hrs a week/permanent

Location: Huntingdon & Homeworking

Anglian Water offers a flexible approach, this role provides you with hybrid working, with an average of 2-3 days a week in the office as required. Your base location would be Lancaster House in Huntingdon.

Here at Anglian Water, we are looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Accountant, who is looking to take their next step and utilise their strong technical and accounting skills.

What you'll be doing:

This role is integral to ensuring our financial reporting is compliant with accounting standards and legal requirements. Your primary focus will be producing our statutory reports and ensuring our control environment remains first class.

In order to support this you will develop a strong understanding of each area of the business and have great exposure to the "big picture" working with senior leaders across finance and the wider business.
This role operates in a fast paced constantly changing and complex environment. The post holder is expected to be flexible and adaptable in their approach with the effective stakeholder management. This role requires dynamism as the need to make quick but balanced decisions is fundamental.

What does it take to be successful?

- Qualified Accountant, ideally with a minimum of 1 year post qualification experience
- Strong technical and accounting skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to challenge and influence
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent analytical and interpretation skills
- Self-starter with ability to work independently and within a team environment
- Strong spreadsheet and relevant computer skills
