Senior Financial Accountant (Systems)

A well-known Not-for-Profit client of mine has reached out in need of an Interim Systems Accountant to come in and manage the team for the coming 12-month period..

The main responsibilities of the Systems Accountant:

• Lead the implementation of a new budget and reporting tool by overseeing the identification, implementation, and effective delivery. This includes evaluating system solutions, gathering requirements, developing specifications, conducting user testing, ensuring a smooth transition during dual running, and providing post-implementation support.

• Assist in enhancing existing systems and exploring new technologies, such as business central finance and purchase order systems.

• Take the lead in identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation within the finance department, focusing on improving efficiency and accuracy, such as transitioning to paperless direct debits.

• Collaborate with the IT department to develop and coordinate modifications and upgrades in the finance system, specifically the Business Central purchase order module.

My client is looking for:

• Qualified or finalist level with relevant sector experience
• Proven experience of finance systems, development, and implementation and of project and change management delivery
• Robust, analytical and innate problem-solving abilities, capable of identifying and implementing systems enhancements to address business requirements.

My client can offer a flexible approach to working, with 1 day a week in the office based in central London and the rest working remotely.
