This is a full time and permanent role.
The salary for this role is up to GBP35k and comes with the opportunity to work 1 day from home.

This role will be responsible for the supporting across the full HR function, take an active lead on internal L&D.
The role:
The Senior HR Assistant role is a split role of Learning and Development (80%) and Health and Safety Officer (20%) and sits within the HR team and will be responsible for planning, implementing, and supervising the training and development programs for employees within the organisation.
This role involves assessing training and development needs and ensuring that employees receive the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
As Health and Safety officer you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Health and Safety across the business and to provide support and leadership to ensure that the company provides safe and healthy work environment for all its employees and site visitors, as well as ensuring health and safety compliance.
The Health and Safety Officer will play a key role in the implementation of effective policies and procedures.
Responsibilities include:
Learning and Development
Employee mentoring and annual appraisals:
Departmental inductions
Conduct regular assessments to identify the training and development needs of employees.
Training evaluations
Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and seminars for employees.
Coordinate and schedule training activities, including both in-person and virtual sessions.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback and performance metrics.
Make improvements and adjustments as necessary to enhance the learning experience.
Health and Safety
Carry out regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards in the office.
Implement safety measures, staff training and awareness.
Maintain safety equipment
Develop and maintain emergency procedures for situations like fires, power outages, or other unforeseen events.
Reporting and investigating incidents
Ensure compliance with local, state, or national health and safety regulations.
liaise with management, employees, and possibly even local regulatory bodies to ensure that health and safety standards are not only met but are part of the company culture.
Looking for:
2-3 years experience working in and HR or L&D focused role.
Previous experience working in the education sector, preferable.
Solid knowledge and understanding of schools systems and Management Information Systems.
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Knowledge of Learning Management Systems and E-learning technologies.
Experience if designing, delivering and tracking training, would be advantageous
Relevant experience in a health & safety role
Relevant Health & Safety qualifications or CPD, desirable.
