Senior IT Service Technician
We are seeking aSenior IT Service Technician for our client a Managed Service Provider based in Exeter, Devon. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing business that has a well-established client base across a range of industries and to work alongside and learn from industry leaders. This role offers exposure to a broad range of technologies, including Office 365 and Microsoft Azure.
Key Responsibilities:
• Resolving support requests directly from managed service clients, using existing skills and knowledge where appropriate and using relevant support and vendor resources to find resolution
• Client site visits for local based clients
• Proactively reviewing automated alerts and responding as required through to resolution
• System administration, hands-on fixes, installation/upgrade and patching of Microsoft-based servers and desktops
• Performing advanced troubleshooting may also include working with Microsoft and other vendors.
Skills Required:
• Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems (including server and client operating systems)
• Strong technical knowledge of virtualisation platforms
• Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft directory, productivity and cloud services (including Active Directory, Microsoft 365 and Office 365, Exchange Online, Azure)
• Knowledge of cyber security principles and common solutions and common IP voice services.
