About the roleThe position we’re recruiting for is on an established trading system development project with a large enterprise client, handling millions of dollars of traded value each day. We are looking for a senior or high performing mid-level developer to join our development team.
Please note that it is not a blockchain-based application.
What you’ll be doing- Full stack development for a global trading platform using the following technologies: TypeScript, Monorepo, GitHub, Jest, Playwright, React, Redis, SQL, WebSockets, Docker, Kubernetes, Github Actions, SonarQube..
- Role will initially involve frontend and backend tasks, with expectation for increased backend focus as you build familiarity with the project
- Communicate with client to understand requirements
- Contribute to automated tests
- Peer code review
- Take responsibility for features you deploy into staging and enterprise production environments
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional programming experience
- 3+ years of professional typescript or flow experience
- Strong communication skills
- Fluency in English
- Hybrid working (2 days in the office per week, Waterloo/Canary Wharf)
- Nice to have - experience with functional programming/languages like OCaml or Haskell etc.
