The Ideal candidate:
- Excellent spoken and written English proficiency.
- Previous experience working in a Transport/Warehouse/Logistics environment.
- A professional qualification in transport/supply chain/logistics is desirable.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant transport/fleet management systems and an understanding of RSA regulations.
- Managerial Experience: Minimum of 3 years of managerial experience.
- Strong awareness of safety protocols.
- Knowledge of relevant areas and surrounding regions is advantageous.
Duties & responsibilities:
- Manage relationships with Irish and International transport companies, as well as liaising with domestic and Ecommerce customers.
- Oversee all inbound and outbound air freight requirements.
- Take charge of transport costs and budget (P&L), ensuring financial objectives are met.
- Lead the Linehaul team across the transport network, managing KPIs alongside administration staff.
- Implement new route optimization strategies to enhance efficiency.
- Responsible for all aspects of the Company Vehicles, including rentals, insurance, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Manage the linehaul loading team to ensure vehicles run on schedule.
- Maintain 100% accuracy of data within the control tower and control all transport costs, including conducting annual pricing reviews and managing tendering processes.
- Effectively manage UK and domestic subcontractor vehicles to optimize vehicle fill.
- Oversee HUB and company health and safety procedures and handle all aspects of employee engagement, including annual leave, disciplinaries, and appraisals.
