The role Ravensbourne University is looking to recruit two dynamic, creative & innovative Senior Lecturers for the BA Digital Television Production course. They will work with Course Leader Gianpaolo Bucci to consolidate the exciting development of the course as a leading industry-facing degree. Ravensbourne’s Digital Television Production course has a 40-year track record in providing a first-class education in broadcasting. With a range of close relationships with industry companies and practitioners, it is rooted firmly in practical and creative skills. The course has a positive reputation in the industry and achieves strongly in supporting students into employment. It is part of the Department of Film, Television and Media, alongside highly-regarded courses in film, post-production, music and sound design, and broadcast engineering. Relationships with these other courses are dynamic, with especially close working with Broadcast Engineering. This small and tight-knit team will need to maintain a flexible and creative approach to pedagogy and partnership to ensure that content and approaches are up to date with a changing industry. The candidate Candidates will have current or recent industry experience in a technical, managerial or creative broadcast role. They will have a knowledge of industry practices and workflows, and a strong interest in the evolution of television including the impact of streaming and developments in online platforms. Some experience of teaching in higher education is essential, as is the ability to support and deliver inventive teaching and learning strategies.
