ABOUT THE POST
The School of Human Sciences at London Metropolitan University, seeks to appoint a full-time Biosciences Senior Lecturer in the area of Forensic Science with the aim of expanding the Forensic Science provision. This post provides an exciting opportunity for an individual to help shape: the curriculum; its delivery face-to-face and via distance learning on both our undergraduate and postgraduate courses; and support the development of research in the Biosciences area within the School.
You will be qualified to postgraduate level in a relevant area of Forensic Science or a related scientific discipline (preferably with a PhD). Candidates must have practitioner and reporting experience in a specialist field. We are keen to hear from candidates with expertise from a variety of specialisms within Forensic Science.
You should have experience of teaching at undergraduate/postgraduate level and have experience in attaining accreditation of courses with relevant professional bodies. You will also be expected to be research active.
The School of Human Sciences offers a stimulating teaching and research environment with diverse research activity, including cell signalling, microvesicles, genetics of obesity, iron disorders, telomere measurement in health and disease and cancer research. You will have a strategic role in meeting and supporting the aspirations of students in a very competitive higher education arena.
