The Faculty of Health & Wellbeing at the University of Winchester are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and inspiring individual to join our Midwifery Team. The Senior Lecturer in Midwifery will be required to support the planning and delivery of our new Midwifery Programmes approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) due to commence January 2024. The postholder will work closely with a wide range of stakeholders to develop course materials that meet current workforce development needs and contribute to the ongoing development and delivery of the Midwifery programmes. Our ideal candidate will possess a high level of insight into contemporary midwifery practice and experience in practice-based education. Knowledge of contemporary policy and professional standards, as well as theories and concepts that underpin Midwifery practice and education is essential. The postholder must be registered as a midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and possess strong evidence of continuing professional development related to their current role.
