Job description

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced qualified lawyer to make a real difference at Kraft Heinz. The position of Senior Legal Counsel, Northern Europe reports directly to our General Counsel, Northern Europe. The purpose of the role is to provide commercial and pragmatic legal advice to help protect and grow the Kraft Heinz Northern Europe business. The role also sits within the wider Europe & Pacific Developed Markets (EPDM) Zone Legal Team and from time to time may also support on EPDM Zone projects.


Main Responsibilities 

The Senior Legal Counsel, Northern Europe will be a key business partner in the Kraft Heinz Northern Europe Business Unit and will cover a variety of areas, including:

  • General commercial contracts
  • IP & brand portfolio law
  • Competition law
  • Company law
  • Data protection
  • Consumer, media and advertising
  • Regulatory/Compliance
  • Corporate Housekeeping/Company secretarial support

Qualifications 


Hard Skills

  • UK qualified with a minimum of 6+ years’ post qualification experience as a commercial lawyer (IP, Consumer law, Competition law & ASA disputes experience desirable);  
  • Excellent legal education with top academic credentials and training in a leading law firm and/ or company;
  • Consumer goods experience desirable;
  • Excellent legal judgment with the capacity to make decisions and give advice that reflects an understanding of overall business objectives and the risks/rewards of each situation;
  • Strong business acumen
  • Strong research and drafting skills and a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a non-legal audience, both orally and in writing;
  • Learning agility and strong organisational skills;
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently with limited supervision and a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment that requires management of multiple projects simultaneously whilst also being a team player;
  • Ability to build relationships, work collaboratively in a team, manage stakeholders and influence across all levels within the organisation;
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally on an as-needed basis.
