Senior Library Assistant
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Full Time 37 hours per week
Location of post: Neath Library, Water Street, Neath, Neath Port Talbot, SA11 3EP
Workstyle : You will work from a fixed workplace
We are currently looking for an experienced and motivated candidate to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the day to day running and managing of a busy town library.
The main duties of the post;
To supervise and provide support to library staff where appropriate.
To assist with the process of identifying community need in terms of library and information services.
The effective operation and supervision of ICT systems as appropriate.
Assist adult and junior members of the public with their information needs.
Supervise routine administrative tasks.
Assist in the collection of management statistics.
Assist in promoting and marketing the library service. Undertake other duties, commensurate with the post and grade as may be assigned by the Library Services Manager.
You will have experience of
Working in a library environment
Ideally you will have;
A minimum of 4 GCSE’s including English language
