Senior Life Reporting Actuary (Bermuda)

Aptuary is working with a Reinsurance company based in Bermuda who are looking for a Senior Qualified Life Actuary to join their Reporting team. They will report directly to the Chief Actuary.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the valuation team and be responsible for actuarial liability reserving for US GAAP and EBS and ALM
• Responsible for drafting quarterly actuarial reports for Reserve Committee
• Oversee the quality and availability of data for modelling, projecting expected asset and liability cash flows, evaluating EBS balance sheet, and forecasting earnings and provide reports thereon as required;
• Ensure appropriate governance and controls are in place for all processes
• Assist Chief Actuary with implementation of internal reserving platform

Requirements:

• Qualified Actuary preferred (FSA preferred or FIA) with minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including life and/or annuity product development,
• Familiarity with Bermuda Solvency Regime and/or US STAT or comparable solvency based reserving regime (Solvency II, Cash Flow Testing, CALM, etc.);
• Strong skills / experience in GGY AXIS;
• Excellent judgement and analytical skills combined with attention to detail and thoroughness;
