Senior Management Accountant

An opportunity to drive a new role within an established global architecture and design business. The post-holder will help with the system implementation, along with assisting in the improvement of  financial management and reporting across the group.

We are looking for someone with international accounting experience, ideally from a professional services or construction industry background. The successful applicant will be a key member of the finance team, and will help to drive financial accountability across the organisation. In addition to core accounting strength, business partnering will be an important attribute to aid in the strategic and operational financial change the business requires.

Responsibilities

• Conducting bank reconciliations and managing accruals & prepayments
• Assisting the transaction team with escalation queries.
• Producing the monthly management accounts and supporting the production of statutory accounts, conducting reviews to ensure accuracy.
• Identifying errors within financial systems and implementing corrective measures promptly.
• Providing variance analysis commentary to explain discrepancies to budget holders and other stakeholders.
• Offering ad-hoc reporting and analysis to meet specific business needs.
• Collaborating with individual practice areas and key stakeholders to ensure comprehensive understanding and effective communication of financial information.
• Engaging in finance business partnering and providing support to Corporate practice areas, delivering valuable insights and analytics.
• Contributing to the annual revenue budget and reforecast delivery. Playing a pivotal role in the year-end audit, particularly regarding WIP valuation.
• Presenting financial reports and collaborating with budget holders to facilitate a clear understanding of the financial landscape
• Playing a key role in the development of assistant Management Accountants, ensuring a continuous learning and growth environment.
• Collaborating with Business teams to foster ongoing development and improvement of high-quality management information.

Skills & Capabilities

• Qualified accountant
• Prior experience of Management Accounts and KPIs is essential
• Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CA, CIMA, ACA)
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present data in an easy to understand format
• Experience of D365 Dynamics
• Experience with Power query and Power BI
