Senior Management Accountant

SRM are delighted to be recruiting for a Senior Management Accountant for a 3-6 month interim contract in Bedfordshire, predominantly office based.

We are searching for a hands-on Senior Management Accountant who is personable, driven to support the Finance Director in delivering an efficient and effective accounting around management accounts.

Responsibilities

• Ownership of the month end process, which includes preparation of the management accounts with variance analysis and month end supplementary schedules.
• Support the Assistant Management Accountant during the month end process (which includes posting month end journals, preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations, resolving any issues within the General Ledger).
• Review the Assistant Management Accountant’s outputs and provide feedback to ensure their continuous development.
• Review bank postings and bank reconciliations
• Preparation of the cashflow forecasts, both short-term and long-term
• Ownership of the year end audit and working with the Assistant Management Accountant to provide all audit requests in a timely manner.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements.
• Review supplier/ subcontractor payment runs and set up of payment files within the bank.
• Assist in the preparation of the finance section of the bi-monthly board pack.
• Assist in the preparation of the monthly profit forecast.
• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget pack.

Experience

• Must be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
• Good academic background.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
