Position Overview
The position involves preparing management accounts for presentation to management. This entails conducting thorough variance analysis and generating exception reports. Collaboration with the finance team is essential for handling AP, AR and reporting. Additionally, the role contributes to achieving key financial objectives to enhance efficiencies within the team and the broader business. Success in this role hinges on active engagement with different business segments, often involving interactions with individuals at various levels of seniority
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a team of 3
* Take responsibility for compiling monthly Management Accounts aligned with Trial Balance
* Apply IFRS principles to compute accruals and prepare corresponding journal entries
* Spearhead monthly variance analysis by comparing actuals to budget/forecast and providing exception reports
* Perform monthly reconciliations for the balance sheet, ensuring all accounts are reconciled each month
* Address any post month-end queries, such as mis-postings in AP
* Reconcile monthly payroll figures to the rolling budget
* Report headcount compared to gross salaries every month, understanding any fluctuations
* Validate that all supporting schedules reconcile with the main Profit and Loss (P&L) and Balance Sheet.
Qualifications
We are looking for fully qualified (ACA / CIMA / ACCA / CPA) candidates with relevant experience.
Length: 6 month with the opportunity to go permanent
Salary: £65K (PQ) or £70K (qualified)
Hybrid working: 3 days in the office
Start date: Between now and the next four weeks. Ideally, an immediate start
