My client, a Financial Services firm, are seeking a proactive and hands-on Senior Management Accountant to join our diverse team of professionals. This role is ideal for someone who is partly qualified as a Chartered Accountant and thrives in a busy finance team. You will be responsible for various bookkeeping aspects and will have the opportunity to contribute to projects aimed at improving system utilisation and business intelligence.
Day to Day of the role:
Conduct monthly reporting for the entities allocated to this role.
Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and provide commentary on P&L fluctuations.
Perform intercompany reconciliations and work closely with the UK Finance team.
Provide support during the annual audit and assist in the preparation of statutory accounts.
Support the budget process and prepare and submit Danish VAT returns.
Supervise two junior staff members and assist with client financial interactions.
Contribute to projects focused on automation and the improvement of current processes and reports.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Partly Qualified Chartered Accountant.
Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills.
Strong problem-solving skills and practical accounting knowledge.
Familiarity with UK GAAP and IFRS accounting standards.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships and influence.
Ability to prioritise tasks and deliver output, as well as identify and implement process improvements.
Desirable Skills:
Experience in the commodities industry.
Working knowledge of SAP general ledger system.
Experience with controls implementation and/or system change.
