Digital Business Services (DBS) provides essential support for the bank through operations, technology, key central business services such as procurement and real estate management, Data and Analytics and a worldwide network of Chief Operating Officers.

The Deputy Chief Operating Office (DCOO) organization sits within DBS and comprises of a set of outcome focused service pillars, including the DBS Chief Control Office. The DBS Chief Control Office are subject matter experts in Risk & Control, to help develop knowledge and understanding of governance.
The role will be reporting to the Head of Governance to support the activity around the non-financial risk management framework and also the risk and controls for DBS, along with the wider teams.

In this role you will:

• You will be at the forefront of DBS CCO governance, ensuring the right messages are provided to senior management and governance fora in a timely, accurate and consistent manner. Driving prioritization and good decision making. 
• You will be supporting end – end risk and control management activities across DBS working with wider teams in line with the Group Risk Management Framework.
• Work with key stakeholders to assist with the management of strategic priorities and key performance indicators for DBS.
• Proactively identify collaboration opportunities and adopt new ways of working to achieve the highest efficiency, quality standards and productivity across DBS
• You will provide support and deliver safe & secure services to customers, colleagues and also to the bank itself.

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

• Knowledge and/or experience of risk and control, in addition to Governance experience is mandatory.
• Experience of end-end non-financial Risk Management frameworks within the operational risk or resilience risk is essential.
• Excellent stakeholder management, relationship management, collaboration and influencing skills.
• Strong understanding of the bank and its strategy, structures, and processes. Delivering and report writing skills.

This role is UK - Hybrid 2 Lochside Way, Site G3, Edinburgh, EH12 9DT, any UK location (except London) and base will be dependent on that location.
