JOB TITLE: Senior Manager, Group Finance Support

You'll join us in Group Finance Support (GFS), a team of c300 colleagues within the Finance Division, providing centralised support and expertise to the rest of Finance and the Business.
In this role you'll be leading and developing a team (approx. 15 colleagues), and as a Senior Manager, you'll role model strong financial control behaviours; have specialist knowledge in Commercial Banking products and business; experience of statutory accounts; influence key senior stakeholders and contribute to broader strategic direction and business decision making by providing insight, control and thought leadership.
Day to day you'll be;
- Ensuring completion of a large number of Commercial Banking related subsidiary statutory accounts, liaising extensively with the Group's external auditors.
- Interpreting and implementing financial accounting matters and Commercial Banking transaction impacts.
- Providing SME knowledge and collaborating with the Value Streams/Platforms to support requirements & delivery of change programmes.
- Establishing effective relationships with stakeholders including presenting at senior level meetings.
- Leading on issue management, communicating and facilitating resolution.
- Leading a development focused team and demonstrating continuous learning and self-development.

What you'll need
- A qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or have alternatively gained a similar level of expertise acquired through substantial experience in a finance function.
- Passion for Financial control and reporting and questioning mindset.
- Experience of leading a team.
- Strong background of delivery and driving continuous improvement against a constantly evolving landscape.
- Bring a problem-solving approach with the ability to challenge and constructively debate key issues.
- Collaboration skills to manage and work alongside a diverse group of stakeholders, utilising well-developed relationship skills.
