JOB TITLE: Group Finance Support Senior Manager (FTC)
SALARY: £78,634 - £92,510
LOCATION(S): Edinburgh
HOURS: Full time
WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in our Edinburgh office
About this opportunity
We have an opportunity for a Senior Finance professional to join our team in Edinburgh in a 12 month contract. You’ll join us in Group Finance Support (GFS), a key function within the Finance community of Lloyds Banking Group. We’re a team of c.300 colleagues, with responsibilities including financial reporting and control, people and culture initiatives and strategy implementation.
The team is at the start of a significant Transformation journey, and you'll be part of influencing, designing and implementing Finance Transformation. You'll lead and develop a small team and as a Senior Manager, you’ll role model strong financial control behaviours; influence key senior partners and contribute to broader strategic direction and business decision making by providing insight, control and thought leadership.
Day to day you’ll be:
  • Leading the operations of the team, including managing capacity, ensuring monthly and quarterly control and reporting deadlines are met.
  • Ensuring completion of a number of subsidiary statutory accounts, liaising extensively with the Group’s external auditors.
  • Co-ordinating the Group’s Legal Entity Financial Control framework.
  • Interpreting and implementing financial accounting matters and transaction impacts.
  • Providing SME knowledge and collaborating with the Platforms to support requirements & delivery of change programmes.
  • Establishing effective relationships with partners, including presenting at senior level meetings.
  • Leading on issue management, communicating and facilitating resolution.
  • Actively contribute to the GFS extended leadership team by driving activity on one of our people pillars.

What you’ll need
A qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or have alternatively gained a similar level of expertise acquired through substantial experience in a finance function
  • Excellent communicator, able to influence and articulate complex issues, building strong diverse working relationships across different parts of the Group.
  • Passion for Financial control and reporting and questioning mindset.
  • Experience of leading and developing a team.
  • Strong background of delivery and driving continuous improvement against a constantly evolving landscape.
  • Bring a problem-solving approach with the ability to challenge and constructively debate key issues.
  • Works collaboratively with a diverse group of partners, utilising well-developed relationship skills.
