Role
The NFR FrameworkSenior Manager (the Role) is part of the NFR Framework team, which is part of the Non-Financial Risk team and in turn the Group Risk function. The Role reports to the Head of Non-Financial Risk Framework.
The Group Risk function covers all aspects of Operational, Financial and Strategic risk across the Group giving a unique insight and exposure to all areas of the Group. The Group Risk team is responsible for establishing the framework for the management of all non-financial and financial risks across the Group. The function acts as a close advisor to businesses and is engaged in all key strategic initiatives.
The NFR Framework team is responsible for the development and maintenance of the policies and standards expected of all LSEG businesses for identification, assessment, management and reporting of non-financial risks. The team also responsible for developing risk related training materials for staff in the Group Risk function and new joiners across LSEG, to ensure appropriate training supports our policies and improves a strong internal control framework.
The role will require close collaboration across all three lines of defence to ensure that NFR policies are crafted to meet regulatory and management requirements, collaboratively with stakeholders who need to oversee their implementation (2LoD) and are refined based on feedback from implementation (1LoD). The goal is to strike balance between meeting regulatory and management expectations and are targeted to achieve maturity over time, while being achievable in the short turn in line with the maturity of the organisation.
Support the Head of the Framework to build, syndicate and arrive at agreement from 2LoD and 1LoD on all elements of the framework as required by the book of work and point in time priority, including:

- Risk and Control Assessment
- Control Framework
- Findings and Self-Identified issues
- Policy Governance Framework
- Maturity Assessment - business and framework
- Additionally, engage and contribute on discussions on related topics in the wider ERM (Enterprise Risk Management) framework:
- Policy Framework
- Risk Taxonomy
- Process, Risk & Control Mapping
- Risk & Issue Materiality Matrix
- Support the development and design new, or refine existing, NFR frameworks.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of risk management data artefacts and tools to meet regulatory expectations.
- Draft, syndicate and publish related policies, procedures, communications, and training materials.
- Coordinate and support the quarterly updated of maturity assessment (business and framework).
- Own the required working groups and NFR Framework Forum if necessary, driving the agenda and materials required.
- Prepare materials for presentation to risk committees, auditors, and senior stakeholders.
- Respond to and deliver actions in a timely manner related to external reviews or internal audits.
- Support 2LoD CRO teams to embed proactive risk management in 1LoD.
- Influence and challenge both 1LoD and 2LoD about framework implementation and adherence.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders within Risk, and within LSEG.
