An overview of the role:

The Programme and Change Acceleration team is at the heart of the transformational consultancy services Capgemini Invent deliver for our clients. We act as Capgemini Invent's Programme and Change management centre of excellence, focussed on the design and delivery of digital transformations. This includes unique and pioneering offerings such as our People Science Offering, an agile, human-centered method, that accelerates engagement into the transformation and makes the outcomes measurable. And our Transformation Science Offering seeks to maximise value realisation from strategic transformation by focusing on building our client’s organisational capability to achieve their objectives. Our team come from a variety of backgrounds with a wealth of experience, but we all have one thing in common – a passion to help clients deliver transformational change in an ever-evolving environment.

Why this role?

Our work is delivered across a variety of sectors, from Government to Retail, Energy to Media/Telco. As a Programme and Change Acceleration Consultant you will bring experience of delivering sustainable change from a range of clients and industries as well as an agile mindset with an understanding of the relevant tools and techniques. You will also have an acute sense of market trends and hot topics about the challenges facing our clients in delivering lasting and sustainable change and leverage your insight to advise our clients.

As a Senior Manager, you will:

  • Define the future state of an organisation or function and help re-design how services should operate by embracing digital capabilities.
  • Run successful and profitable programmes/projects or change initiatives of significant size, complexity, and risk.
  • Focus on the use of data points and analytics, reporting and KPIs to demonstrate benefits realisation associated with the projects/programmes, and calling to action, where needed.
  • Grow and foster strong and client relationships; identify new business opportunities and demonstrate your ability to closing deals through proposal and pitches.
  • Structure and lead teams on client delivery and be a mentor/coach to more junior people of the team; enabling capability development and growth of our team members.
  • Contribute to the P&CA team business planning and strategy execution.
  • Develop strategies and new offerings through the combinations of existing assets or adopting new insights.


As part of your role you will also have the opportunity to contribute to the business and your own personal growth, through activities that form part of the following categories:

  • Business Development – Leading/contributing to proposals, RFPs, bids, proposition development, client pitch contribution, client hosting at events.
  • Internal contribution – Campaign development, internal think-tanks, whitepapers, practice development (operations, recruitment, team events & activities), offering development.
  • Learning & development – Training to support your career development and the skills demand within the company, certifications etc.

We would love to meet someone with:

Proven relevant work experience in business change AND/OR project/programme/portfolio management in MALS or Telecom sector

Core Skills:
  • Project/Programme/Portfolio Management OR Change Management skillset; competent in shaping and leading delivery of transformation programmes
  • Experience in delivery of Waterfall and Agile
  • Experience of these key consulting services: programme approach, governance, delivery and reporting, quality assurance and health-checks, and recovery; change approach, stakeholder analysis, leadership enablement, capability development, communications and engagement, change sustainability.
  • Commercial acumen to determine the best way to structure a deal for mutual benefit to clients and Capgemini, fostering and growing relationships.
  • Comfortable with a sales target.
  • Ability to pivot to react to market demand.
  • Ability to create structure in an unchartered or ambiguous environment
  • People Development: Leading teams, Coaching/Mentoring others
Desirable skills and/or experience:
  • P3M or Change Management qualifications (e.g. Prince, MSP, PMP, PgMP, Agile, DevOps, Prosci, APMG)
  • SC clearance
  • Experience working in a matrix organisation
  • Sector expertise and existing network
  • Evidence of innovative, creating approach to delivering Change
