Senior Mechanical Engineer - Contract - Manchester (Hybrid)

As their team has grown, they have opportunities for contract Senior Mechanical Process Engineers to become members of their friendly, supportive, and creative engineering team to work on an exciting project in our Nuclear sector.
What you will do:
Provide engineering services design and consultancy work on behalf of Baker Hicks under the direction of the line manager or mechanical lead.
Produce Mechanical Engineering design deliverables (including calculations, datasheets, specifications and schedules)
Contribute to safety reviews and other risk assessment
Checking of mechanical deliverables to ensure engineering designs meet appropriate quality and compliance controls, project brief and customer requirements.
Reviewing vendor quotations and liaising with equipment and package vendors
Utility system specification, design, and capacity evaluation
Checking of piping design documents, including checking isometrics and layout drawings
Assist in plant layout development
Collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary members of the design team to deliver safe, efficient, and buildable solutions
Requirements:
Non-Negotiable
Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Experience in the nuclear sector
Have experience in coordinating multi-disciplinary design teams
Currently hold Security Clearance or eligible to pass criteria for Security Clearance.
Desirable
Chartered Engineer Status
Experience in nuclear fuel reprocessing
