Your new role
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of enhancing public buildings. From corporate buildings such as office blocks, town hall to schools, libraries, and even morgues, you'll shape the future of essential spaces. Your responsibilities will span from project inception to completion, covering design, design sign-off, full tender management project delivery and seamless project handover.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Lead retrofitting, upgrades, and lifecycle projects across a variety of public buildings.
- Produce specifications, support on the design and delivery of Mechanical projects
- Oversee and mentor a team of two talented mechanical engineers, ensuring excellence in project execution.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, ensuring design alignment with the Borough's vision and requirements.
- Manage full tender processes, fostering transparency and efficiency.
- Ensure projects adhere to budgets, timelines, and quality standards.
- Act as a Mechanical lead for the team
What you'll need to succeed
To thrive in this role, you should possess a building services or related mechanical qualifications. You must have a proven track record of delivering Mechanical projects on non-housing buildings. With capabilities to provide specifications and basic Mechanical design. Being a team player is a huge part this role as the culture within team is of a high standard. A history of working in or with the public sector is desired. You will be able to work in the office 2/3 days a week.
