Senior Membership and Events Officer

Just Treatment is looking for an experienced ops specialist to join our team as the Senior Operations Officer.

Just Treatment is a patient-led campaign fighting to ensure everyone gets the healthcare they need by demanding the government acts to put patients before corporate profits. We believe the only way we can achieve this is by building a movement of those directly affected by the problem to challenge the powerful corporations threatening our health. We have a track record of high-impact campaigns that have changed the lives of the people we work with, and thousands of NHS patients, by forcing corporations and politicians to move.

Since we first started in 2017, Just Treatment has been hosted by the New Economy Organisers Network (NEON) who have provided strategic and operational support to us. By mid 2024, Just Treatment will have de-incubated from NEON and become established as an independent not-for-profit organisation. This role will be our first ever Operations team member - undertaking vital day-to-day operational tasks as well as leading on the development of our Operations strategy.

You will be focused on ensuring our organisational systems run as smoothly and effectively as possible, and developing and embedding processes which help to make Just Treatment a fantastic and inclusive place to work for our small but mighty team. You will work closely with the Director and Senior Management Team (SMT) to monitor, analyse and update Just Treatment’s budgets and ensure we are legally compliant and demonstrating best practice when it comes to HR and governance.

Health injustices are growing ever starker across the NHS and globally - from life-threateningly high monopoly drug prices, to soaring waiting lists for mental health care, to accelerating corporate control over healthcare systems. You will be highly motivated to join a team that has a proven theory of change, and you’ll have the ideas and experience to elevate the operational practices of Just Treatment so that we are able to maximise our efficacy and impact.
