Duties
- Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance, ensuring that production downtime is kept to a minimum.
- Maintain accurate records.
- Lead projects with new machinery/ equipment installation.
- Identifying key maintenance issues and drive continuous improvements.
- Provide support and training to Apprentices.
Essential Criteria
- Time-served and qualified to at least NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in electrical engineering coupled with strong mechanical skills
- Previous experience within a maintenance role, preferably food industry.
- Good working knowledge of single/ 3 phase electrical installations and equipment.
- Ability to diagnose faults on electrical control circuits, general electrical, mechanical and pneumatic equipment.
- Have a working knowledge of PLC controlled equipment
- Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics.
- Comfortable reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical drawing.
