Role: Senior Paralegal – Court of Protection

My client, a leading UK and international law firm, is seeking to recruit an experienced Paralegal to join them in their Basingstoke office on a permanent basis – working as their new Senior Court of Protection Paralegal.
This Court of Protection team have established a significant reputation for advising and assisting individuals, their families, carers, trustees and beneficiaries on a broad range of issues arising from personal injury. Your main responsibility will be day-to-day general management of the clients’ affairs and you’ll act as the primary point of contact for clients.
As the successful Senior Paralegal, you’ll be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:
- Drafting routine and non-routine applications to the Court of Protection, including witness statements
- Assisting senior members of the team with discrete tasks
- Assisting with the implementation of policies and procedures
- Preparing budgets for the clients Financial Advisors and the Court
- Liaising with Case Managers, clients and their families
- Reviewing and authorising invoices for payment

To qualify as the successful Senior Paralegal, you’ll need to have/be the following:
- Have previous/existing experience, working as a Paralegal or Senior Paralegal
- Have previous experience within either Court of Protection or Personal Injury
- Be a LLB or GDL graduate (LPC is desirable)
- Have strong organisational skills
