Senior Payroll Officer: SO1
Salary £35,577.00 to £36,567.00 pro rata
There is a permanent vacancy in the Payroll Team for a Senior Payroll Officer.
Duties include actively contributing to the smooth running of the service to coach and develop colleagues to help raise standards and productivity, which may require flexibility in working on operational and compliance areas. Senior Payroll Officers deal with a full range of customer activities which include complex customer and technical queries and issues. With their expert knowledge, they provide day to day support to the Principal Payroll Officer, Deputy Payroll Manager and the Payroll Manager with projects and changes to processes.
The successful applicant will be an excellent communicator dealing with payroll queries from a variety of channel including, email, personal callers, and the telephone. They will have an extensive up to date knowledge of PAYE and other related statutory obligations as well as experience of taxable benefits, payments to Individuals and the payroll Year End processes
