Salary Responsible for leading and delivering specialist Medicines Optimisation, clinical, prescribing and pharmaceutical advice to providers and other partners in Dorset with a focus on commissioning and contracting. Ensure procurement and contracting of drugs by the system, particularly excluded high cost drugs, offers best value and follows national and regional strategies. To deliver the ICB Medicines Optimisation and prescribing strategies with regard to new drugs or drugs for new indications within the system. Lead and develop clinical audit in prescribing and Medicines Optimisation to demonstrate adherence to NICE guidance and continuous quality improvement Deliver commissioning advice on pharmaceuticals within new or existing pathways, including during service re-design.
Support the drug decision making process within pathways across the System as required.
