My client are a specialist Planning consultancy who are looking to grow their team of Planners due to increased workload. With a diverse portfolio of projects, they are at the forefront of urban development working on a range of sectors from hotels, leisure, heritage, retail, restaurants and more.
Role Overview: As a Senior Planner, you will play a crucial role in the Retail team in Central London. The role will involve a mix of trade, retail and warehouse schemes as well as food and retail parks.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a variety of planning projects from inception to completion. Provide expert planning advice to clients, ensuring compliance with planning regulations and policies. Prepare and submit planning applications, appeals, and supporting documentation. Conduct site appraisals, feasibility studies, and impact assessments. Liaise with local authorities, stakeholders, and the public to facilitate successful project outcomes. Mentor and support junior team members, fostering a collaborative and productive working environment. Qualifications:
A degree in Town Planning, Urban Design, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in planning, preferably within a consultancy environment. Strong knowledge of UK planning legislation and policy. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) or working towards chartership is desirable. What's On Offer:
