Role Profile:
To support the Port Manager in delivering a safe and effective port and, where applicable, harbours operation, and to ensure compliance with CFL Management Systems and contractual obligations.
Principal Accountabilities
- Management of department processes should be in line with company expectations and ensuring consultation is completed with relevant process reviewers when adding, amending, deleting, and reviewing owned processes
- Banking Duties
- Controlling petty cash and change floats.
- Completing timesheets.
- Crowd control.
- Disruption management
- Rostering
- Supervision of all staff
- Dealing with customer complaints
- Collecting pier dues
- Dealing with 3rd party vessels
- Maintenance of pier
- All duties connected with vessel movements.
- Harbour management
- Reporting, management, and investigation of unsafe acts, near misses, accidents and incidents
- Ensure routine inspections, maintenance, defect management, drills and exercises are undertaken in accordance with requirements!
- Safe Management of Contractors working within Port and Harbour (including Diving) 3

Skills and Experience
- Computer literate, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Expected to have a flexible approach to working, as shift and weekend work will be involved.
- Customer service experience: being customer focused, with a clear understanding of the customer interface and having a proactive approach to customer care.
- Cash handling experience desirable.
- Ability to work with initiative as self-starter, without supervision.
- Willingness to undertake training and continuing professional development.
- Experience in operating in a safety critical environment is desirable.
- Maritime experience desirable.
- The successful candidate must hold a full UK Driving License, have their own transport, and be able to commute to and from The Ferry Terminal on a daily basis
