The Role
The opportunity has arisen for a client portfolio manager/senior to join a friendly accountancy team, working within a busy practice in their Haverhill offices, although there may be flexibility to accommodate some working from home.
Our client is a 3 partner, 18 staff firm of Chartered Certified Accountants, Registered Auditors and Chartered Tax Advisers and the longest established and largest accountancy firm in Haverhill. They pride themselves on having a pleasant working environment and exceptionally low staff turnover.
We have a diverse range of clients including OMB, HNW private client, professionals and technology companies. Opportunity to get involved in high level tax work, R&D and other areas.
This exciting new position has arisen due to the ongoing strong growth of their firm and a recent acquisition.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a diverse client portfolio and supporting the partners
- Review of accounts and finalisation
- Tax compliance and planning for a wide range of small businesses, limited companies and private clients
- Dealing with HMRC and other authorities
- Ad-hoc projects
- Supervision of staff
Skills and Qualifications
- An accountancy practice background with minimum 5 years experience is essential
- Experience of working with entrepreneurial, OMB and SME clients
- Ability to work with little supervision, to take responsibility and prioritise work
- ACCA/ACA/AAT/CTA qualifications desirable but study support available in this ACCA approved employer
- Knowledge of Xero/Sage/Iris is very desirable.
