Reporting to the Pricing Design and Deployment Manager, you’ll be responsible for the design and development of algorithms to support pricing activity and the subsequent deployment to ‘live’ production environments. You’ll be directly involved in innovative projects, where you will be setting technical direction and representing the Pricing department in programme meetings, directly influencing senior stakeholders across the business to achieve high quality technical integration with the wider programme. There will be ample scope and plenty of opportunity for you to make your mark. You’ll also work as a coach and mentor for junior members of the team and wider department.

A logical and strategic thinker, you'll be able to demonstrate:

• Strong coding skills as well as experience of working within a Pricing, Data or IT function


• Either experience using Radar or extensive experience of model development using Python, Earnix, or 'R', paired with a good working knowledge of the insurance industry. You may also have worked with other programming languages such as Java, .Net or C#


• Evidence of building and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships


• A collaborative approach and superb interpersonal skills


• Experience of working as a technical expert within fast-moving projects


• The ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences and influence stakeholder decisions

Ideally, you'll also have a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or another related numerical discipline, although this is not essential for the role. Similarly, it would be advantageous if you have experience working in agile project environments and have the ability to lead, encourage and motivate others.
