Position Summary Senior Private Cloud Delivery Engineers are responsible for leading customer engagements as the technical design authority on solutions. Owning the low level design and task allocation for a delivery, either as an individual delivery lead or leading a small team of engineers. The Senior Engineer is a subject matter expert and will also assist in the production of statement of works, proposals and run books for private cloud infrastructure, dedicated private cloud infrastructure and hybrid cloud deployments. Ultimately responsible for the implementation, onboarding and configuration of customer solution and workloads onto Claranet’s UK multi-tenant and/or customer dedicated platforms and infrastructure. This includes the building and configuration of servers and Operating Systems as well as supporting services such as firewalls, load balancing, backup sand DR. Working with and across private and hybrid cloud platforms within the Claranet estate, enabling repeatable and scalable capability. Role Mission Claranet’s strategy is to build long-term, trusted relationships with its customers by delivering market-leading, integrated managed services. Our portfolio platforms, infrastructure and data centres are critical to our strategy and ensuring our customers have service 24*7*365. We are seeking Senior Private Cloud Delivery Engineers who will help onboard and enable our customers to utilise our platforms and services with ease, being a pivotal role at the beginning of our customers experience and when they want to consume more services. Objectives and Key Results Drive a smooth and high-quality onboarding experience for our customers onto private and hybrid cloud platform and services. Working across the technical landscape to ensure the right technologies, process and standards are used to ensure a quality delivery and in-life manage service experience for our customers. Delivery reliable and performant solutions and services on private/hybrid cloud platforms. Ensure skills and knowledge are up-to-date and aligned with the organisation's goals. Use design and delivery methodologies that are industry best practice and consistent where possible across the team. Ensure that products and services are engineered and delivered to the leading market standards, using where possible repeatable designs. Be a leading voice in the Private Cloud Team, bringing thought leadership an innovation to the engineering function.
