Interim Global Procurement Manager - Professional Services Category - Global FMCG - 6-12 Month Contract

This Globally recognised FMCG are continuing to raise the bar within their industry, as they continue to expand their services through new and exciting projects all over the world. With one of the biggest names in the industry, this multi-national organisation has a global network of partnerships that make them leaders within their space.
They now seek an experienced procurement professional to take high responsibility across projects in the Professional Services category, where you will be working on multiple exciting projects valued in the £multi-millions. Working closely with the Head of Procurement - Professional Services, you will be responsible for defining and executing the Category Strategy across Predominantly HR Services & Contingent Labour, but also a broader Professional Services category portfolio.
Embedded into the central procurement function, this is a key role in delivering service excellence, commercial value and thought leadership within the professional services function.
This is a 6-month position, which will likely be extended. This role can be home-based, however the ideal candidate will based in East Coast of US in order to travel to the HQ when required.
The Interim Procurement Manager - Professional Services Category will be responsible for:
- Leading strategy development for specific sourcing projects with a key focus on Contingent Workforce and related category areas
- Creating compelling and innovative sourcing strategies which challenge current ways of working and deliver the best value to the company
- Demonstrating that sustainability, innovation and risk management, collaboration, health and safety & well-being are effectively considered and managed through each initiative
Required Background for the Procurement Manager:
- Demonstratable experience in the private sector, where you have successfully implemented change through developing and applying strategies
- A strong background in professional services category, with strong in Contingent Workforce and ideally consultancy services
- A good understanding of professional services subcategories within procurement across strategic sourcing, category management and SRM
- A strong ability to develop and manage stakeholder engagement plans for a complex environment across multiple individuals, teams and business units
- You will demonstrate commercial excellence in market engagement, defining specifications, managing complex risks
