Senior Product Manager

Howdens Joinery are looking for a Senior Product Manager to take responsibility for the delivery of the business requirements and integration of a new and enhanced digital systems functionality.

Reporting to the Head of Digital Product Management, this is a critical role in the successful delivery of our digital development roadmap. This role demands a focus on enhancing product performance metrics, driving the evolution of digital products and applications through emerging technologies, achieving high customer satisfaction, engaging in thorough market analysis for share expansion, and ensuring alignment with broader business goals

The role will be based from our office located in Raunds, Northamptonshire. Travel to other sites and suppliers will be required on an ad hoc basis with overnight stays as necessary.

What will I be doing as a Senior Product Manager?

- Working closely with the Digital and IS teams and Howdens business owners, as well as third party development teams to meet the needs of the business.

- Collaborating with architecture and UX teams through the discovery phase on all new initiatives in order to define the high-level scope, feasibility and viability for stream-aligned teams to deliver.

- Enhancing product performance metrics and driving the evolution of digital products and applications through emerging technologies

- Engaging in thorough market analysis for share expansion and ensuring alignment with broader business goals.

- Build the business case for development including the cost, timing and business benefits

- Provide high-level estimates to senior management in terms of time and cost as an output from the discovery process

- Promote the digital roadmap and share the vision of digital products and applications

- Report on success of product launches and suggest continuous improvement of the product based on user feedback (depots, web users etc.) and market trends, by utilising data points available through tools (Google analytics, Content Square) and business engagement

What do I need to qualify for this role?

- Previous experience of working in a Product Manager or Senior Product owner role within a multi-channel organisation is essential.

- You will draw on your previous experience to balance the requirements of the business and be able to translate them into actionable deliverables with clear and defined success criteria.

- Solid understanding of Digital best practices

- Results driven with commercial experience to include business benefits as well as product.

- Articulate with strong influencing and coaching skills.

- Adaptable to changing demands and priorities.

- Analytical with the ability to interpret and explain data to a diverse group with high variations in digital and commercial knowledge.

- Commercially focused

- A good communicator with an instinct for creating long term working relationships with all team members and key stakeholders is essential.

- An ability and desire to understand new technologies is a must.
