About the job:
As the Senior Product Manager, you will be required to develop expertise in your designated category. You will be responsible for identifying trends and innovations for the customer-base, whilst delivering the product strategy via the selection of new products. You will put the customer journey at the forefront of every decision you make using analysis and insight to bring to market a product range that will drive sales and optimise profits. This will involve nurturing relationships with the current supply base as well as sourcing new suppliers via collaboration with Purchasing and NPD teams, negotiating cost prices and agreeing trading arrangements.
About the person:
To be considered for this position, you need to have experience in a Product or Category Management role, preferably in a consumer facing business where you will have a proven track record of spotting trends and getting products market in an efficient manner. With experience of dealing with suppliers in the far east and the EU, you will also be highly commercial, with outstanding negotiation skills, and a good understanding on financial levers including pricing, margin and profit. In addition to this, you will have good people skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence both internal and external stakeholders.
