Experience Required:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in underwriting, with a focus on managing portfolios
- Previous experience in underwriting Professional Indemnity (PI) insurance, specifically within the Surveyors sector
- Familiarity with the London Market is preferred
- Demonstrated experience in managing and expanding portfolios, scaling from a few hundred thousand to multiple millions in Gross Written Premium (GWP)
Responsibilities:
- Manage and cultivate a portfolio of Professional Indemnity (PI) insurance business, specializing in the Surveyors sector
- Drive new business development initiatives to enhance GWP and expand market presence
- Collaborate closely with a central underwriting assistance team to optimize processes and maximize resource utilization
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and underwriting of PI policies, ensuring adherence to company guidelines and regulatory standards
