SalaryAbatec are currently recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a regional civil engineering business, working from their office in Exeter. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual to join a company that works in a regulated environment where this is security of work on long-term frameworks. The successful individual will be working on a 2.8bn programme across the South West in collaboration with multiple contractors on the framework. Our client has been awarded the Infrastructure Water and Waste Water package with the initial framework running for a 6 year period with a further 5 year extension opportunity, potentially taking their partnership through to 2035, ensuring longevity of works.
As a Senior Quantity Surveyoryou will:
- Maintain accurate records, control and reconcile costs and value, report variances against agreed performance, compliance and finance targets.
- Administer subcontract accounts and take control of change management.
- Be involved in a review of current procedures and processes and assist in the implementation of new and revised processes where required.
- Responsible for all pre and post contract duties.
- Draft and negotiate NEC forms of contract.
- Identify and mitigate commercial risks.
Our client requires a Senior Quantity Surveyor with:
- Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or similar.
- Experience of working for a Civil Engineering contractor ideally within utilities.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A thorough understanding of NEC form of contracts.
Salary and benefits include:
- Up to 65,000 per annum
