This role will be based on the university campus, with scope for it to be undertaken in a hybrid manner. We are also open to discussing flexible working arrangements. We are looking for a confident, professional and proactive individual to provide high quality, customer focussed research support to the Faculty of Environment. Working closely with the Deputy Faculty Research Manager & Faculty Research Manager (DFRM & FRM) to provide expert knowledge in all aspects of grant management and financial administration in line with University and research funder rules and regulations. You will make a valuable and significant contribution to the team collaborating with both the Pre-Award and Mobilisation teams. You will have the exciting opportunity to provide an expert service in preparation and submission of claims, high volume transactional activity and audit compliance. With strong management skills you will lead and develop the Post-Award team. You will shape the administration of grants to fit the needs of Schools within the Faculty and develop working practices and procedures that support the world class research of the Faculty. With significant research administrative experience in a busy, customer focussed environment, you will bring excellent organisation, communication and negotiation skills supported by considerable experience of financial systems and procedures, the ability to problem solve and line management experience.
