Job description

Some careers have more impact than others.
If you’re looking for a role where you can continue to make an impression, take the next step at HSBC where your contributions will always be valued.
HSBC Asset Management (‘HSBC AM’), the investment management business of the HSBC Group, serves HSBC’s worldwide customer base of retail and private clients, intermediaries, corporates and institutions invested in both segregated accounts and pooled funds. HSBC Asset Management fulfils its purpose of connecting HSBC’s clients with investment opportunities around the world through an international network of offices in approximately 30 countries, delivering global capabilities with local market insight.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior RFP Writer. This role is critical to the new business process, and is viewed as playing an instrumental role in the achievement of HSBC Asset Management’s growth ambitions in 2023 and beyond.

In this role, you will:

•  Lead the completion of Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs) and Due Diligence Questionnaires (DDQs) for Institutional and Wholesale clients and consultants globally – including the most complex bids - and encompassing a diverse range of asset classes, investment strategies and funds.
•  Work closely with internal stakeholders/subject matter experts to ensure high quality articulation to clients of HSBC AM’s investment philosophy, capabilities, processes, investment vehicles and the firm’s competitive advantages.
•  Partner with RFP colleagues in other regions to support cross-border RFPs, RFIs and other client requests.
•  Manage high quality RFP content in designated product areas.
•  Support Global and UK Head of RFP in building the regional and global RFP function.

Request

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
•  Strong, demonstrable experience of RFPs, RFIs, DDQs and related client documents, including regulations, compliance requirements and delivery processes.
•  Asset Management experience is essential. Alternative investments and fixed income asset class knowledge would be a distinct advantage.
•  Excellent written and spoken English skills. Further language skills would also be an advantage, but not essential.
• Compliance with global content management requirements; effective use of global systems such as RFP content management tool (eg Loopio / Qvidian).
•  Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and their sometimes conflicting expectations and requirements.
•  Leadership qualities: ability to supervise and coach less experienced team colleagues
•  University degree or equivalent qualification required, preferably with an investment or finance focus.
This is a Hybrid working role with the base location as London. Travel to London 2 days a week.

You’ll achieve more when you join HSBC.
