£45,000 - £75,000 base salary + bonuses and benefits. - Hybrid (2-4 days on-site per week)
One of the World's leading Defence companies is looking to grow its already significant UK presence and strengthen its Cyber Security and Software Engineering capabilities in Cheltenham.
As such the business is looking for Software Engineers at all levels with strong Java skills and a hunger to learn new technologies across the Java stack.
The role
As a Software Engineer you will work within an Agile environment, designing, developing and deploying solutions, helping to solve a range of customer problems. You will be involved in Research & Development, gain exposure to a wide range of tools and technologies including Cloud, DevOps, Big Data, AI and Machine Learning techniques.
What are we looking for?
Essentials skills: - Languages: Java, JavaScript, C++ or Python
- Passion for technology and a willingness to learn new skills
Nice to have experience with any of the following skills and technologies is highly desirable:
- Cloud-based architectures: AWS or Azure
- DevOps Automated Deployment: Jenkins, Docker, OpenShift or Kubernetes
- Database Technologies: SQL, Elasticsearch or MongoDB
- Testing Technologies: Cypress, Selenium or Cucumber
- Messaging and Routing Technologies such as Ni-Fi and Kafka
