Senior Strategic Procurement Business Partner

Our client is looking for a well established, ideally MCIPS qualified, procurement officer to take up the role of Senior Strategic Procurement Business Partner.
Based in South East London, this Local Authority is currently embarking on a procurement transformation programme. They are focused on delivering efficiencies across the organisation whilst incorporating a strong social value element into their commissioning and procurement activity.
They are looking for someone to take the lead on a number of contracts in construction and housing services. They need someone who is effective at building relationships with managers across the directorate. You will be managing some complex projects from end to end working to support the directorate to achieve value for money. You will be fully involved at every stage of contract tendering and post contract award and monitoring.
We are looking for those with a background in Local Authority or Social Housing procurement. You will need to be able to demonstrate previous experience of eSouring systems, preferably Proactis.
The rate is negotiable depending on experience but they are looking to pay £450-£475 per day (inside IR35). The initial contract will be 3-6 months but we fully expect this will extend.
