About the role
Our Procurement and Supplier Relationship Management function is growing, so we have an exciting opportunity to join us as a Senior Supplier Relationship Manager – Procurement.
Working in the Supplier Relationship Management team, the Senior Supplier Relationship Manager will be responsible for creating and directing the strategy for partnership suppliers as well as ensuring we continue to have effective supply relationships, delivering savings and value to the organisation.
The person in post will be working closely with suppliers, transferring commercial skills and knowledge whilst maintaining critical relationships. Driving great relationship outcomes and delivering incremental value, this role will be key to our IT procurement. The person in role would bring their knowledge of current and evolving trends and knowledge of regulatory requirements in IT procurement to deliver great business outcomes.
About you
With extensive experience in achieving major cost and value benefits in procurement, supplier management or contract management in the IT space, you’ll have an excellent grounding in commercial relationships with third parties. You’ll either already have a relevant qualification in this field (MCIPS), be working towards this or aspire to achieve this whilst delivering great results in role.
Being skilled at negotiating contract variations at high value, you’ll be able to also lead complex negotiations for high-risk, high-profile categories of spend. You’ll be quick to address risks and issues, so excellent senior stakeholder management and leadership skills are vital to maintain critical relationships.
Leadership will also be essential to how you deliver strategy and identify opportunities and making cases for change, alongside influencing, challenging, and inspiring colleagues and external stakeholders.
Speaking publicly both internally and externally will be part of your skillset, presenting value cases and championing the Supplier Relationship Management function to our suppliers.
