Senior Support Engineer

Our client is a leading supplier of ISP (Internet Solutions Provider) who are based in Billericay, Essex with excellent links to A127/A13 and rail station. Due to their work loads, we are now looking for a candidate who has previous experience from within this sector as a Senior Support Engineer with emphasis upon first class customer service.

We are looking for a candidate who can fulfil the following:

Roles and Responsibilities

• Investigate, diagnose, and solve both computer software and hardware faults
• Implementing and managing hyper-vised environments
• Responsible for logging, troubleshooting and resolving new problems and requests.
• Proactive/routine monitoring of backups, systems, and testing recovery procedures.
• Liaising with 3rd party suppliers regarding troubleshooting and arranging for hardware repairs.
• Ensuring that all IT assets are properly controlled, and all software is licensed correctly.
• Experience managing and maintaining RMM tools
• Install and configure computer hardware and software
• Provide project support and undertake projects.
• Administer and maintain customer infrastructure, including Active Directory, Azure AD, LAN, Internet access, firewalls, and Exchange/Office 365
• Install and configure cyber software and hardware, including Watchguard, Sophos
• Assist with on call out of hours rota for 24/7 support contracts

Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge

• HP / Dell and leading manufacturers hardware diagnostic and fault resolution
• Microsoft accreditations
• Strong SharePoint and Teams experience from ground up.
• Current Firewall qualifications, such as Watchguard, Sophos, Cisco
• Experience in MS servers, Active Directory, IP networking, Windows 10/11, firewall configuration, VLAN configuration
• Ability to build good business working relationships.
• Highly motivated, pragmatic, and practical with a strong work ethic
