What you will be doing:
You will join an inclusive, supportive team that works well together to provide care to people with learning disabilities. Whether you have extensive experience as a Healthcare Assistant, or currently a Senior Care Worker, you will use your knowledge and skills to help support people lead a valued and fulfilled life. Ideally you will hold NVQ Level in health and social care.
It can be quite a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience and vigilance are important. But it is hugely rewarding to see people improve; thanks to you being able to do something today that they couldn't do last week.

The shift patterns include working 7.5 hours a day, 4-5 days a week between the hours of 7:00am and 10:00pm, including weekends on a rota basis. Permanent, 37.5 hours full - time contract.
Where you will be working:
Location: School House, School Walk, Sunbury-on-Thames, Surrey TW16 6RB
You will be working at School House, a service which provides support for people who may be living with moderate learning disabilities with associated health needs, autism and behaviours.
Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you will offer support to people as part of their care pathway. Whether it is moving from their community placement or a family home because they require more structured care and support.
Things that you will have:
- Ideally that you hold a valid UK driving licence.
- Preferred qualified to NVQ Level 3 or willing to work towards
- Leadership skills
- Have strong empathy and a caring and compassionate nature
- Be willing to support residents with personal hygiene
- Have excellent people and communication skills, and a good sense of humour
- Deal with challenging behaviours
- Have a positive and professional approach
- Be reliable, flexible, hard-working and honest
- Be local or within commutable distance
You must live in the UK and have the Right to Work in the UK full time. 20-hour Student and Skilled Worker Visa's cannot be accepted.
