As our accounts continue to grow, we are looking for a Senior Training and Development Lead to join our team in Edinburgh to help shape and drive the long-term strategy design, development, delivery and evaluation of the Training and Development plans. In this role, you would be responsible supporting the account with the development of strategic solutions, driving delivery via the most appropriate media, as well as evaluating training programs that improve performance of employees at all levels of the business and deliver overall business success.

  • Leading strategic development and roadmap development to drive innovative training program development through online resources, training toolkits and mentorship programs.
  • Establishing unique strategic plans for each department that recognise and build upon the skills of employees.
  • Working with Senior Training and Development colleagues across the account, aiding in the approval and formulation of training strategies, initiatives, and materials that will address the identified training needs and share best practice.
  • Tracking and reporting progress for all on-going training programs, managing vendor and internal relations as appropriate to guarantee that deadlines are met within the planned budget.
  • Maximising the effectiveness of training initiatives in the business by staying up to date with current training practices, training methods, learning tools, and learning deployment devices and technologies.
  • Participating in leadership meetings, training events and seminars, conferences etc, to gather information to keep practices up to date, ensuring constant sharpening of employee skills and performance in the business.
  • Experience in a Training and Development capacity in a large and complex business setting, preferably working as the Training and Development lead.
  • Experience developing successful training programs that have led to employee performance improvement and had a positive influence on the business's overall performance and effectiveness.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, which are necessary for the creation of visually and verbally engaging training materials and reports.
  • Ability to conduct and evaluate analyses of program performance, including points of improvement, developing clear and compelling solutions and strategies from the findings.
  • Ability to form strong relationships with others, winning over their trust.
