Senior Travel Consultant
Location: Cheltenham or London
Hours: Fulltime | Permanent
Salary: £30,000 per annum
Our client is looking for a Senior Travel Consultant to specialise in travel within Europe!
You will work closely with clients to ensure their requirements are met to company service level agreements. Working across the full booking lifecycle, from initial enquiries through to gathering post-travel feedback, you will build excellent stakeholder relationships whilst ensuring exceptional communication.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in Travel Sales along with excellent knowledge and a keen interest of Europe.
Key Responsibilities of a Senior Travel Consultant
* Handle inbound calls in a professional and timely manner.
* Maintain excellent product knowledge, including promotions advertised across media outlets.
* Attend supplier presentations and functions when required to maintain up to date product knowledge.
* Attend product training sessions and attend company sponsored educational trips.
* Liaise with clients who have requested a brochure to convert initial enquiries into sales leads.
* Use effective questioning techniques to gather client requirements and create bespoke itineraries and prepare quotes to service level agreements.
* Manage the progress of itineraries from initial quote through to bookings.
* Build and maintain excellent client relationships throughout the booking process.
* Ensure client balance payments are received 8 weeks before departure.
* Manage flight reservations, amendments, and cancellations whilst ensuring excellent communication.
* Identify errors and discrepancies, ensuring all information sent and/or advised to clients is correct.
* Manage post-travel problem solving in a professional and timely manner.
* Communicate with clients pre-and post-travel to seek feedback.
* Ensure accurate data entry and maintenance.
* Actively work towards individual and team sales targets, ensuring these are achieved or exceeded.
